Pepsi IPL 2013 Rules and Regulations for IPL 6 Season

The BCCI announced that any curators of the IPL venues are in no condition to oblige to any kind of pressures given by franchises this year. The BCCI stressed that tailor made wickets for any franchise will not be made in any stadium and the decision to make wickets and set up the ground for the match will be totally up to the curators of the respective stadiums and no franchise official can put on any kind of pressure to bring about changes. This decision was taken by the BCCI in Chennai this Tuesday in the presence of different state associations and various stadium curators.

The BCCI also stated that no curator or franchise official will be allowed to release any information regarding the pitch of any stadium before the match to any media source.

Last year, Shah Rukh Khan, owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders faced a problem at the Wankhede Stadium. Apparently, he was high and he had crossed the turf, got into a brawl with a security guard there and had created a lot of trouble. This had also raised a lot of problems for the MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) as well. Shah Rukh Khan was banned from the stadium by MCA for 5 years after that incident.

This year, the MCA has asked BCCI to make out a set of rules and laws for franchise officials and also make decisions and rules about, who all will be allowed to be present in the dugout with the players of the teams. BCCI said that they will have a meeting regarding these decisions soon.

The Rajasthan Royals’ home matches will be played at Motera’s Sardar Patel Stadium and Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot instead of Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. This is because Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium has been in a lockdown with BCCI for quite a while now and they didn’t get the green signal to host matches this year for the IPL.
